Steve Hyde, cinematographer.
I’m a Seattle-based director of photography working across commercial, interview, and documentary productions. I work with directors, producers, and in-house teams—from a small crew on location to a fully coordinated multicamera shoot.
My work includes projects for Google, T-Mobile, Microsoft, Wild Rivers Land Trust and Smithsonian NMAI. Whatever the scale, I care about the same things: intentional images, careful preparation, and people feeling comfortable in front of the camera.
Growing up in Colorado’s mountains and learning to fly in Seattle taught me to stay composed when conditions change. My background in human geography continues to shape my interest in stories about people and place.
